The Instillery and Wiz up the Ante on Cloud Security

Cloud security leader Wiz, and services provider The Instillery, are excited to announce a new partnership focused on driving the adoption of Wiz’s Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) in the APAC region. The Instillery were an early adopter of the public cloud and has been working with customers since 2013 to leverage the benefits of cloud-native capabilities.

“Cloud and security have not always been synonymous, although they really should be,” says Jeremy Nees, Chief Operating Officer at The Instillery. “Public cloud offers a plethora of controls that allow granular configuration and monitoring of your security platforms. But sometimes that is the problem - it is easy to go build something on cloud, but having the capability to secure it can be an entirely different story. Wiz flips this picture, and makes securing the cloud much simpler and quicker.”

The Wiz story is a fascinating one. Founded in 2020, Wiz can lay claim to an exponential growth journey which has seen its valuation soar. However, Wiz has accomplished this with substance, already surpassing USD$350M in annual recurring revenue as of year-end 2024. Securing cloud platforms, including private cloud, is a priority for many customers evidenced by the growing demand in the CNAPP space.

“As cloud and AI adoption increase, organisations the world over must secure these environments without slowing their rate of innovation.” Says Budd Ilic, Country Manager, Australia and New Zealand. “Wiz is fortunate to work with some of Australia and New Zealand’s top cloud businesses and leading brands. We have focused on growing our headcount in the region and partnering with amazing companies like The Instillery to maintain our pace of innovation while continuing to put the customer at the centre of everything.

The Instillery isn’t approaching this from a standing start. “We’ve used different tools in the past and performed early cloud security implementations into banks, utilities and the SaaS sector.” says Nees. “Our team has been really impressed with the comprehensive nature of Wiz, plus the ease of use. Not only that but they are continually adding value to the platform with new offerings and strategic acquisitions. Wiz integrates with so many of your existing tools, and we can activate a proof-of-value in 15 minutes.”

The Wiz and Instillery partnership aims to rapidly enable customers to increase their cloud security posture by providing their teams visibility across a broad range of platforms and tools. Strong interest is already coming from financial services, government, critical infrastructure and SaaS segments.
